Phyllis Kauffman
President
Phyllis Kauffman has called Concord home for 40 years. Before retiring, she spent the final 18 years of her career as office manager for a local sales and service company.
Phyllis and her husband joined the Concord Senior Citizens Club 17 years ago, where he began volunteering as a bingo caller. After his passing, Phyllis took some time away from the Club. She returned in 2014 to volunteer in the Club office and was soon encouraged to serve on the Board.
Since then, Phyllis has served as Executive Secretary and Director of Operations. She continues to volunteer in the Club office, helping Concord seniors in any way needed.
Phyllis organized the Club’s first cornhole activity and helps organize monthly birthday lunches and dinners. She also assists with the Friday morning bread program and has volunteered with Hospice of the East Bay.
As President, Phyllis promotes a cooperative Board that works for its members, encourages active participation, and supports the Club’s volunteers. She believes the Club should be a warm, safe, and friendly home away from home for Concord seniors.
